My Story…
I have always dreamed of being an artist, a painter, something that fulfils my desire to create something that resonates with someone. Art has always been a sanctuary for me, a chance to forget my worries and use the creative process as a way to unwind and make sense of the world!
I grew up in the hills of Yorkshire and moved to the North East about 10 years ago.. So, I have gone from the most glorious countryside "God's country", to the ever changing coastline of the North East. Returning to Yorkshire always makes me smile and instantly transports me back to where I grew up. I have so many memories of the fields, the hills, the dry stone walls... the sound of sheep and the way the sun sets over the fields. I started painting this landscape to capture and relive these memories and forever transport myself back to the landscape and the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
Now in the North East... On the flip side, I cannot deny the equally gorgeous coastline of where I live now. Everyday i'm amazed with the ever changing weather over the beaches, the clouds circling over the cliffs, and the sun bouncing off the lighthouses and making me feel insignificant in this great world.
I also specialise in capturing The Lake District. This is an area of the country I visit several times a year. I use to visit it as a kid as well. The landscape has so many parallels with the Dales and I am forever finding new magical corners of Cumbria to capture.

Colour in the fields
This was all about the colours, the true colours of the heather in summer.
